In addition to having several different divisions, Barr-Nunn has configured “band pay” so every solo company mileage paid driver receives addition pay for complete loads under 550 miles. Every driver that works for Barr-Nunn, regardless of division, will have a minimum base cpm rate that is determined by the drivers overall years of experience and whether or not the driver has their hazmat endorsement. Barr-Nunn Transportation has been an Independently Certified Top Pay Carrier according to the National Survey of Drivers Wages and their base rate of pay is already ahead of many other trucking companies within the transportation industry. In addition to the drivers already high base rate, Barr-Nunn adds the additional “Band Pay” scale so as the driver’s length of haul gets shorter, their cpm rate for that load increases even more.
Barr-Nunn also has a lot of perks and unique features such as their 2cpm 401(k) contribution for every driver that starts day 1, pay raises every 40k safe miles, and CSA bonuses every 90 days that includes paid time off and cash.
